아래 글은 이민국이 2010년 11월 18일이후에 COS신청자들에게 보내는 안내문으로 받은 편지입니다.

지난 11월 패널에서도 일반직은 32,000파운드 이상 쓴 사람들 부터 주었습니다.
그리고 이번달 12월에도 32,000파운드 이상 쓴 사람들 까지 COS를 받을 수 있었습니다.

규정은 일반직도 20,000파운드 이상 연봉을 주는 사람은 COS를 신청할 수 있습니다. 그러나 COS할당 할 수 있는 양이 많지 않아서 고소득연봉자들 부터 COS를 할당하다 보니, 요즘 커트라인이 32,000파운드 이상 쓴 사람들이 할당을 받고 있습니다.

참조로 2011년 1월 7일 COS심사 패널에서는 특별할당을 하겠다고 이민국이 공지한 것으로 보아 조금 조건이 좋게 나올 수 있지 않겠나 생각됩니다만, 32,000파운드 미만으로 쓰는 경우 불안한 요소가 있습니다.

아래는 11월 COS신청 후 12월에 패널에서 나온 결과를
이민국으로 부터 받은 안내문입니다.

TIER 2 (GENERAL) – REQUEST FOR INITIAL/ADDITIONAL ALLOCATION OF CERTIFICATES OF SPONSORSHIP

Your request for an initial/additional allocation of Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) has now been considered by a panel of managers from the Sponsorship Unit.

This month the panel awarded additional allocations of CoS to sponsors with posts meeting the following criteria:

ㅁ New shortage occupation posts with salaries above £20,000 per annum and
ㅁ New non-shortage occupation posts with salaries above £32,000 per annum.

You have been awarded 2 Tier 2 (General) CoS. This is the full amount of CoS that were forwarded for consideration to the panel. You will have been notified separately of any extensions or rejections of CoS from your request. These CoS should only be used to fill posts for :
xxx Manager with a salary of £32,000.00
xxx with a salary of £32,000.00

Your Sponsor Management Account has been updated and you are now able to assign these CoS.

Failure to use the CoS for the posts and salaries detailed above will result in future requests for exceptional consideration being refused and further compliance action being undertaken which could result in the withdrawal of your sponsor licence .

If during the period of the interim limit, which will end on 31 March 2011, you require any further CoS then you will need to make another request for exceptional consideration. Please see the addendum to the ‘Tiers 2 and 5 of the Points Based System - Sponsor Guidance’ (the Sponsor Guidance) for further information.
